So what's the verdict?

Based on this list of features, it is clear that before Palm is geared to a different segment of users that the iPhone users.

I beg to see how Palm will hold the competition with the iPhone when it comes to the amount of applications available for the iPhone and how Apple has made available to developers through its SDK.

This is one of the main differences, however, there are more than these two differ from the other smart phones. The design is of course different and the concept of interaction with users. Apple also has the advantage that they rely on touch quite like Palm still uses the keyboard option for users. Given the development and capacity of the User, becomes the winner of the iPhone in this spectrum as well.

Palm has a pre Advanages on the iPhone with its ability to have more than one application active at the same time, as Pre Palm uses the available memory and share it between the application and notify you when there is insufficient memory seve for all active applications. If you need this multitasking is questionable, as you probably have enough to deal with one task at a time when you are in movement anyway. However, for a busy businessman might come in handy as you want to e-mail and office applications related active simultaneously.

My verdict is still keeping the iPhone as it offers versitiliy more than the pre Palm. However, it's really your choice.
