How to fix a black screen in a verizon htc 6900?

Im having problems with my phone. I have a HTC 6900 Verizon everrytime and I turn it on it is on a screen black. I can make calls and everything just your screen goes black. I think my brother may have stepped on, but that is just my theory. Desperatley need help please !!!!!!!!!!!!!! helpppppp

Make first a Google search to see if you can make a mater or hard reset to ensure that nothing is interferrring with him. If that does not work the screen disappears.
