Iphone Import Sim Contacts

HOW IN THE WORLD do I import my contact list to my new iPhone?

I just bought a new iPhone 3G 16GB and I had a Nokia, the iPhone is unlocked and everything else, I just changed the SIM card. Now I want to import my contact list to the phone, but I went to where it says "import sim contacts" and says your doing it, but he never does. Does anyone have any idea?
