The best system on the iPod / iPhone speaker dock?

Ok, I'm looking for a docking system that is compatible with the iPod and iPhone, while the accusations that it plays and also has a CD player. I was looking around and was very impressed with the Bose Sound Dock, but can not justify the U.S. $ 400 for some speakers … Also, I think I just might be caught in the Bose marketing scheme … Has anyone heard of a really great system?

Bose is great, but take a look at the high prices JBL systems are really worth.
