How do I unlock a Sprint HTC?

I have an HTC that I had to sprint, but then switched to Verizon. I need to unlock the phone because was a great phone for what I needed and it is still new used less than 3 months! (I paid full price for this phone unfortunately) How do I unlock it? I'm not a grumpy so break it down Barney style for me. Thank you!

Sprint phone can not be unlocked. He may be able to be flashed to another network. In addition, Verizon will not activate a non-Verizon-phone brand in your network.
