LG Viewty USB connection?
I bought a LG Viewty, recently, which came only with the charger and nothing else. I realized I needed a USB connection, so I bought one for him. However, when I connect it to the computer it detects the phone, but says that the connection failed because we could not find a driver! The box with usb lead that does not require connectivity software (simple and fast), but I still need a driver? And if so, where can I get it?
When you connect the Viewty you should ask what type of connection you want to do, namely, Mass Storage, PC Suite. Mass Storage selection should place the device in a state that is almost the same as any other USB memory key and therefore should not need drivers. Using the phone in PC Suite will require drivers, such as the USB modem driver and COM port.
