Problem with charging my new LG Chocolate?

I just got a new LG Chocolate KG800, and I tried to load it the first time, but not of charge. When I turn it on, the phone works, but does not indicate it is charging. What can be wrong?

try calling / phone couple of times, make sure your charger works and if nothing had happened back to the store and ask them to fix it, there must be something wrong with the battery, its normal generally occurred in manufacturing
