Sure you can. Im sure they also have a service Unlocking in Mexico. I buy an unlock code from eBay. some sites will help you walk on the way to unlock their phones. Check out the sites and see if this is for you. If I were you I would like to unlock it here in the USA. As in Mexico. you may have difficulty looking for a good service there. Now is your phone is LG VU or VUE? anyways i have attached the pages where you can buy a cheaper codes that you can do it alone. hope that helps. http://shop.ebay.com/items/__unlock-code-lg?_kw=unlock&_kw=code&_kw=lg&_ckw=vue&_trksid=p3286.m104.l1198 http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/akshon_corp? _nkw lg = + vu & _sacat = 0 & _trksid = p3911.m270.l1311 & _odkw = = 0 & _osacat Just make sure your phone model supports various bands from the frequency bands around the world are not consistent. GSM 900 / GSM 1800 MHz are used by the GSM in most parts of the world: Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East and Africa. While GSM 850 / GSM 1900 MHz are used in the United States, Canada, Mexico and in most countries of South America Ideally, you want a phone that can work in all four bands – commonly called a quad-band phone. But these can be quite expensive. Alternatively, there is also tri-band phones. Be careful which three bands your phone has. Some bands are more useful than others, depending where you travel. When it comes to using a multi-band phone in Japan and South Korea, it becomes complicated. In addition, the phone must be a "multi-modality phone, such as GSM is not deployed. WCDMA (Wideband Code Divisional Multiple Access) is the dominant technology, supported by DoCoMo and Vodafone. Thus, a dual-mode phone uses two different types of technology in one device. So if you want a truly global phone, you need a muti "band", "multi-mode model. They are very hard to find and as a result does not cost a bundle!
