How do I get rid of the banner on my Rogers LG VU?

I had my LG VU as a little over 2 weeks. I loooooove it is a great phone. But as do I get rid of the banner @ the top of my phone with Rogers. It ruins, as wallpapers great! Also, I'd be able to download more themes the phone?! I like the theme of fish, but I want something pink or yellow.
