Do cell phones emit radiation in stand-by?
After reading the article today about which most phones emit radiation, all I can find are warnings about radiation exposure to your head. What about when not in use? I keep my phone in my pocket, I'm exposing myself to it (possibly damaging) radiation? Technically, your phone emits a very small amount of radiation only when it is connected, though, as far as we know that this amount is small enough to be cause for concern. The phone emits more radiation when you are talking about it. EWG recommends using a headset and keep the phone away from your body (ie, not in your pocket) to make calls.
