If your contract expired or you are simply bored of your current phone, you may be looking to upgrade. The problem most are having, however, is they are not sure that the latest phones to buy. For Sprint, many are looking to only three phones now: 2 HTC Touch Pro, HTC Hero, and Samsung moment. Here are a few key areas where these phones shine —

What really amazes me here is the difference in processor speed. The Moment of 800 MHz Samsung really help him compete against the 528 MHz processors that HTC is using. HTC will be the delivery of their faster processors in its next release of phones, but for now, Samsung takes the lead. Now, do not think the timing is ridiculously more faster than either of these two phones from HTC … because it is not. * It feels as fast. One of the major components that the effects of the actual speed is the operating system.

Operating Systems

The Hero Moment HTC and Samsung both use Google's Android. The hero uses SenseUI (an interface graphic designed by HTC), while the moment Samsung uses only simple, old, vanilla Android 1.5. What does this mean for consumers? Well, it means that users Hero's HTC will have to wait for updates regarding both SenseUI and Android users Moment of Samsung will simply update Android alone. Means you can wait a little faster updates with the moment. In fact, the Android 2.0 is an update soon (hopefully) for the moment. This update allow multi-touch capability, as well as additional functions. The HTC Touch Pro 2 uses the Windows Mobile 6.1. Users will receive a free upgrade to 6.5, which makes the system operating more finger-friendly. Many people have flashed their phones to 6.5 and I personally have done on my old HTC Mogul (this was released before the HTC Touch Pro 1 … so is a bit old). That's a different story though! In Windows Mobile, HTC TouchFlow software is there to try to make life easier, like the SenseUI for Android.

Unique Features

Some unique features that make these three special phones … Where to start? The HTC Touch Pro 2 is for the corporate world. HTC implemented a special voice that operates automatically on the speakerphone when the phone is flipped. This allows people in meetings to quickly turn a normal, private phone call in a public discussion within seconds. Joined with conferencing resources and other goodies, this phone will help to increase business productivity. Another worthy mention here is that the HTC Touch Pro 2 is a phone WORLD. This means that it works in most bands mobile phone out there – from GSM to CDMA. This makes the HTC Touch Pro 2, a telephone amazing journey.

The Hero HTC is one amazing device. Unlike most smartphones that you see today, it has a trackball to allow navigation and games. This changes the trackball color to warn the User about different things too. Another interesting feature is that there are light sensors in the phone. This allows the phone to change your lighting, depending on whether you are or not inside or outside. Very cool! Also, depending on whether or not you buy a European version of this phone, it will have a chin that sticks out. Therefore definitely unique! The version of the chin —

The Moment Samsung has a very high quality OLED screen capacitive. It is very bright and beautiful, because of this, but still can give you problems in the sunshine. As mentioned earlier, this phone also has a 800 MHz processor, making it one of the fastest phones out hardware wise. Nice job Samsung!

Keyboard or Keypad Not

Both Moment Samsung and HTC Touch Pro 2 comes with a keyboard slide-out. Who reigns supreme? Well, in my opinion, the Touch Pro keyboard 2 is better. The Moment of Samsung can be a little questionable at times but is still enjoyable. Nevertheless typing is made easy and fast on these two keyboards. They add a bit of waist for both phones, but that's to be expected. Anyone who has to use a keyboard Palm Pre would be jealous. The Hero HTC has no keyboard. This means that you must use a screen keyboard. Despite being virtual, it works well. In the end, it depends on whether you are a person who needs to touch the touch of a real keyboard or not.

Quality construction

Build Quality is important when choosing a mobile phone. Fortunately, each one of these phones feel strong and solid. You do not need to worry about breaking these bad boys, but this not mean to throw your phone around. You must protect your phone as your baby!

Camera

These phones which are not cheap. The Touch Pro 2 is $ 349.99 after $ 100 mail-in rebate. There's really no excuse for it. Sprint has dropped the ball, making it so expensive here. You can purchase this phone for much less than Verizon and T-Mobile, though the hardware will be slightly different from the Sprint version. The Hero is HTC $ 179.99 and after a $ 100 mail-in rebate. This price is not bad, but you can find this phone on sale in places like Best Buy if you want even more cheap (and possibly less e-mail in rebate). The Moment Samsung is $ 179.99 after $ 100 mail-in rebate. also a fair price.
