Initially, we were all wowed that smartphones have allowed us the pleasure of watching videos in our decadent smartphones. But then we discovered that doing so involved download bulky (and sometimes bug-ridden) third-party applications that the extra cost to start, being a file converter (or transcoder) and a compatible media player.

Fortunately, many smartphone manufacturers (and developers of your operating system) quickly caught on that smartphone users were less than satisfied with this inconvenient (and expensive) methodology and started to come up with ways to allow their customers to get what they wanted, without any extra work or expense.

Blackberry OS: If you have a Blackberry that have recently emerged, such as the Blackberry 8800, Blackberry 8300, blackberry curve or Blackberry Pearl, then you will see who has the Roxio Media Manager application built in. This allows you to decode and synchronize video files (and music files), and rip them to CD. Whenever you download a file this way, the Roxio Media Manager will present you with the option to convert the file to a format that can be viewed correctly in Blackberry by implementing integrated Media Player. At this point, you can choose to synchronize the file using a USB or microSD card reader that is compatible PC to copy it to a microSD card you can simply enter your BlackBerry for easy viewing.

Symbian: If you have a Nokia smartphone, you can download a simple add-on to the free Nokia PC Suite software called Nokia Video Manager and convert and transfer video files to Nokia smartphone, be it a Nokia N75, Nokia N95, or any other. The N95, Nokia E90 Communicator and other Nokia devices more savvy has a mobile version of RealPlayer built in that is capable of reproducing the RealPlayer, 3GP, and MPEG-4 files without any additional steps involved.

Windows Mobile: While the computer you are using with your mobile device is running Windows XP or Windows Vista, to display videos on your smartphone is a piece of cake. Just run the Windows Media Player 11, stick a memory card into your handheld, and connect it to your PC with a USB cable. Then hit 'Start Sync 'drag any video files that you want for the panel of devices located on the right side of your screen. After you finish with it, just click 'Start Sync '. When finished, go to the Start Menu of your Windows Mobile smartphone and click on the Media Player. Go to 'Storage Card', then 'Update Menu ", then 'Run', and you're done. Now you can easily view any of the video files you just downloaded.

Unfortunately iPhone and devices running the Palm OS still require the use of a third party application to convert video for you to upload and convert your own video files so they can be seen in his rel = "nofollow" href = http://www.reviewsmartphones.com "> smartphone. Let us hope that those responsible are already working diligently to remedy this deficiency. However, the abundance of appropriate third-party apps still exist that allow you to view their own video files on these devices, but, unlike the solutions listed above, they are not free.
