Can the low battery warning is off on a Motorola W755?

I'm thinking of buying a new Motorola W755, and seems to be a great phone with but a few of my friends telling me to deviate from Motorola phones because of the noise audible low battery will come out even if the phone is in silent mode or just vibrate. I'm not sure if Motorola has updated the software so that the signal can be switched off … If someone could help me, would be great! Thank you!

ok I have the W755 in Purple … I just checked You can set TO OFF in addition to a vibrate, tone and you can choose increments once every 2 minutes or every 15 minutes. Scope tools "menu." "Settings" sound "alerts"
