Blackberry Storm Update 5.0
Apple launched the second generation of the iPhone back on July 08. It was an evolution rather than revolution from the first model. Introducing a system of GPS and 3G functionality. Just as important was the price. It was half the price and twice the speed. But now 8 months later. Is the iPhone has the phone of choice?
Design
The User Interface has remained the same as the first model and is one of the strongest points for the iPhone. Not only is also beautiful very functional. As functional is out. The thin design that is almost all screen. On the other hand, you'll see two buttons extremely functional. Silent Aninstant and volume controls. The back of the lens glimpse of Apple used to the camera and the apple logo. As with all iPods.
Pros and cons
The iPhone is very easy to use. Especially for a smart phone. Another nice feature is the light sensors, touch and movement. Sense that keep the device will switch sides of the screen, with the device on his ear will turn off the screen and so on. Especially the first is a great success and a really touch nice. The proof is the fact that every other phone manufacturer has tried to copy the technique. Other obvious benefits of this phone is great design and software.
Unfortunately, the software has flaws too. It is really too heavy for the hardware of the iPhone, resulting in a slower phone. With that said, do not try to install also many applications or multitasking too. The camera and GPS are also a big pain. The camera is not just this time. I know why Apple did this. They did not want leave the lens of a greater commitment to the project better. Plus adding the pain of millions of settings that can be a problem for less technical users. The GPS is not as functional as it could be because of limited software. The voice navigation and as you might expect. Also the GPS signal is sometimes large (outside), but inside can be extremely inaccurate.
Competition
The iPhone 3G is old in terms of technology and is almost celebrating its one year anniversary this summer. Of course, Apple's competitors are not just sitting. Consumers now have a huge list of alternatives including the Nokia N97, Xperia Sony, Samsung Pixon, and more. Some of these other phones have better hardware and a way lower price. Although the design and functionality of the software still Apple's territory.
Conclusion
One year after the launch of the iPhone is still a great phone. Is easy to use and has a great project. Major hardware failure is the slow and small camera lens. It has many competitors who deserve a look, but its biggest competitor is yet to come. A new iPhone. So better to wait for the iPhone coming this June. Hang in there. Is it worth the wait.
