Evernote is an iPhone or iPod Touch program that is designed to replace all those little scraps of paper that you usually write notes on. However, it raises the bar not only because you can write notes to yourself, but you can also use it to store photos, voice notes, web pages or even just excerpts from Web sites.

To get started with Evernote, you sign up for an account, check your e-mail, and start cutting. You, then download the desktop version of software for Mac or PC. You can create notes with the desktop application and synchronize them with your online account.

Version iPhone also allows you to create notes. If you have an iPod Touch do not always have access to the Internet, you can save your notes for later when you have access to the Internet wirelessly. At this point, you can synchronize your notes outstanding to your account online and then with its work program. This gives you a convenient way to ensure you have a back-up all your notes.

This is an excellent replacement for Google Notebook, which is being discontinued. Evernote has many more features than Google's notebook. Since Google's announcement that notebook would be interrupted, Evernote said they will develop a resource for you can import notes into your Evernote notebook. You can also import your notes Microsoft OneNote 2007.

Evernote is free to register and use, and I found myself using it frequently to keep abreast of things I want to buy, write blog posts when I'm offline, and write some lists.
