Blackberry Gtd

Do you ever sit in traffic on the way to work listening to the radio, only to be stuck for an over-the-top DJ rambling about something stupid? Or you is looking out the window of a train or coach wanting to rush so you can reach the million and one things you need to do today?
According to some interesting statistics that I read recently, the average worker spends at least an hour a day of travel to and from work, with some people to spend more than 8 hours a week commuting. This is a full day of work every week! Believe it or not, commuters on public transport or travel to and from work can actually be one of the most productive of your day.
Listen to podcasts on your mp3 player
The increasing popularity of podcasts and books audio makes it easy to learn just about anything while driving. You can now get a great career-building information on almost any subject for free, simply by signing any number of podcasts. iTunes is a great place to download free podcasts. For a few dollars per month, you can buy any number of audio books from sites such as www.audible.com. listening material for professional development, while you travel and not just get you through your transit time, you will also find yourself hours before their competitors, and perhaps your colleagues who might be sitting on a train staring into space.
Read industry magazines
Traveling in public transport (not while you're driving) is also a great opportunity to catch up with what's happening in your sector. Subscribe to the leading magazines in your industry (or borrow the work) and read regularly. If you want to do something a little left of center, try subscription a magazine in an industry you know nothing about the well. You may be surprised with the new ideas you get when you read about an industry which is completely different from yours.
Send text messages and e-mail
If you do not want to learn a language, or listen to materials apprenticeship, then your Blackberry or iPhone can be an effective mobile office. If you have an accumulation of e-mails, try to answer or checking e-mails, messages word to your colleagues or clients, or generally prepare for the days of work to do before even stepping foot in the office.
You fly or travel interstate or overseas?
While there is a limited amount of time in an airplane, you can use the computer to catch up on work. If you can not be bothered taking our laptop there is nothing stopping you from reading memos or verification of printed documents.
When you know you will be flying, spend some time of day or night, before leaving to print off all documents that require review or work that can be done to hand. By managing your time effectively, you will save time each side of your trip.
There is always a book or newspaper
