The LG KU990 Viewty does not officially support the installation of new equipment User issues – but that did not stop the owners Viewty … like me?

Currently, there is no way officially sanctioned to download and install the new Flash-based themes for your LG KU990 Viewty.

Just a word of caution: I, or anyone else accepts no responsibility for any damage that hacking into your Viewty to load a new theme will cause. Installing a theme again, no official connection with these methods can violate the security of the Viewty. DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Backup the contents of your phone. This man is vital. Do this with a software called EFS Media Builder. This software allows you to search and delete protected directories on your Viewty. Do not worry, I have analyzed Internet for these programs, and I'll provide links to access the files needed to get their themes to work!

EFS Media Builder is the tool used to access the "secret" and hidden directories on your LG Viewty. However, you will also need Theme Manager 3.2, which contains the various issues such as the iPhone, Windows theme, Viewty and many other topics.

So what you should do is access the "secret" directories that I told you, and basically install these themes on your phone.

Step 1: Download the files and EFS MediaBuilder Theme Manager 3.2

Step 2: Run the EFS Media Builder and navigating to "LGAPP / Media / swf / theme". Theme_bg2.swf BACKUP ". If you do not want to fuck things up, just the damn backup "theme" folder.

Step 3: Choose where you want to install your favorite theme.

Installation of Memory Card:

1) theme_bg2.swf "Install" to "LGAPP / Media / swf / theme "Using EFS Media Builder restart the phone once done.

2) Go to Settings, Phone Settings, Connectivity, the USB connection mode and select Mass Storage in the list, then connect the phone to the PC

3) Change the way you connect to USB mass storage, then navigate to the Memory Card / Removable Storage.

4) Drag and drop the "Themes" folder of the download file directly to the root of the memory card.

6) Go to Settings, Screen, Handset theme and pick Silver from the list.

Installing the phone memory

1) Edit the "ThemeList.txt file "to make all custom themes point to the phone memory (/ / LGAPP / Media / swf / theme / themes)

2) Navigate to "LGAPP / Media / swf / theme "with EFS Media Builder.

3) Drag and drop theme_bg2.swf file "and" Themes "folder to this loction restart the phone.

4) Go to Settings screen, phone theme and choose from the list Silver

You need to edit the ThemeList.txt if you install the phone as it is now set for the memory card location. Change the '0 'to '1' for all subjects in the ThemeList.txt.

Step 4: Install additional items (if any)

Perform the following:

1) Create a new folder inside the "Themes" folder and give it a name relevant to the topic that is about to install.

2) Drag and drop all the new theme files to the folder just created.

3) Update "ThemeList.txt" point to the newly installed theme files. SWF.

Step 5:

So now that you have successfully installed, what do you do? Run it, of course. Duh

To download the Theme Manager, double tap the "C" (located on the real device) to display the list of available themes. Use the arrows left and right, or use the jog wheel to navigate through the pages and click on the theme you want to use. Once you have a topic you want keep double tap "C" button again to hide menu.

You can also switch between the built in styles icon by pressing the "Black" or "colored" button.
