If I buy a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 in India, will it work perfectly in the U.S.?

I'll go abroad soon, and I need use this phone mainly in the USA. Will it work perfectly, with all features enabled internet and such? Please help me. I can not give afford to be wrong about that.
