Samsung SCH-U740 Alias phone questions?
I want to upload my own ringtone for my cell phone Samsung Alias. I have it as an mp3 file second 19, I need to convert to a MIDI file, or shorten the length. I have the micro SD card, and want to import it that way. I am also curious about how to add music and video clips – any advice here? The phone is through Verizon, I wonder if they blocked those resources. The manual is useless and I have been able to find a group of users. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you! Andy
Hi Andy, yes, you need to convert your mp3 file to a midi. All you have to do is find your mp3 file in File Explorer, right click on it and change o. Mp3 extension to. Mid (ignore the unstable pop-up and then OK). Then place it in your folder my_sounds the micro SD card. If you do not see a my_sounds folder, then the card has to be formatted first. To format it, just put the card in the phone and save a picture to it. After loading the file. Mid my_sounds folder put the card back to your phone and go to the menu, go to "Get It Now" -> "My Music & Tones" -> "My Sons" You should see her. Mid file listed. Scroll to the song and text message to you. It will be sent back to you as a Pix message and when you open it you can save it as a ringtone on your options (bottom right). I hope this helps!
