Sony Ericsson Phone Died

Sony Ericsson T707 Sim help?

I bought a Sony Ericsson T707, this afternoon, I was previously on Vodafone's network, but the phone was only available the network 3 so I changed my number, but I'm more a new SIM card 3. The employee said he could not register a credit to the other SIM card died, he told me that if I or someone touched someone touched me on the number 3 before I transferred the original number on it would destroy the phone. Ive had the phone about 4 hours and now I have to charge the battery of my old phone died so when I play my original number that goes straight to voice mail, which is why my other phones or dead, because the number is transferred. I know it's confusing, but does anyone know how long it will take to transfer the number?
