Powermat is a new device on the market that allows you to wirelessly collect a range of devices such as mobile phones and portable game players. You just drop them in Powermat – the magnets pull each device in the ideal position for the collection and then upload it through magnetic fields. Lights and sounds indicate the status of the device and tell you when it is fully charged (at which point the Powermat is smart enough to turn off).

Devices you can carry with Powermat and how you do it? These devices are divided into three main categories: mobile phones (cell phones), gaming consoles and portable devices several. For some devices, there are special receivers that are attached to the wireless device to carry convenient. Other devices have to be loaded with a connector more conventional wired – for this purpose, the Powermat comes with a dedicated PowerCube Universal Receiver and multiple connections (known as "tips").

Phones:

  • Apple iPhone 3G: Unsupported dedicated to the iPhone 3G, which requires the installation of a special case Powermat compatible receiver (purchased separately). The iPhone can also be loaded with a tip Special Apple PowerCube (included) or the receiving station (purchased separately).
  • Apple iPhone 3Gs: a specific receptor is close to launching for the iPhone 3GS. However the use of special tip PowerCube Apple (included) or the receiving station (purchased separately).
  • Apple iPhone (other models): Use the special tip PowerCube Apple (included) or the receiving station (purchased separately).
  • RIM BlackBerry Bold, Curve 8300, Curve 8900 and Pearl: There is no dedicated support for these models Blackberry requires the installation of a special battery door Powermat compatible (purchased separately).
  • RIM BlackBerry Tour: A receiver particular is close to launching the BlackBerry for the Tour, however the use micro-USB tip (included).
  • RIM BlackBerry models (other including Storm): Use mini-USB and micro-USB tips as required (included).
  • LG: LG 1 Use tips or micro-USB (included).
  • Samsung: Samsung Use 2 tip (included).
  • Motorola: Use micro-USB or mini USB tips (included).
  • Palm: Use the tip of micro-USB (included).
  • Bluetooth: Use the tip of micro-USB (included).
  • HTC: Use mini-USB tip (included).
  • Nokia: use Special Nokia 2mm tip (purchased separately).
  • Sony Ericsson: Sony Ericsson use special tip (purchased separately).

Games:

  • Nintendo DS Lite: There is no dedicated support for the Nintendo DS Lite requires a special adaptation Powermat back compatible receiver (purchased separately). The DS Lite can also be charged with a special tip PowerCube DS Lite (included).
  • Nintendo DSi: There is no dedicated support for the Nintendo DSi, which requires a special adaptation Powermat back compatible receiver (purchased separately). The DSi can also be loaded with a special tip DSi PowerCube (included).
  • Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP): Use the tip Sony PSP (included).

Note that the back receiver does not need to be removed from the game. Receptors for other game consoles are in development.

Other devices:

  • iPod Touch: There is no dedicated support iPod Touch, which requires a special adaptation case Powermat compatible receiver (purchased separately). The iPod Touch can also be loaded with a special tip PowerCube Apple (included) or the receiving station (purchased separately).
  • iPod (other models): Use the tip of Apple (included) or the receiving station (purchased separately).
  • GPS devices: Use mini-USB tip (included).
  • Some cameras Kodak: Use the tip Sony PSP (included).

It can be seen that there is good coverage of most portable devices at Powermat. However, many of these have to be charged using the PowerCube so if the actual capacity for wireless devices in particular is important, then check whether it is worthwhile to ensure the receivers are available to them.
