It was sort of an open secret in the world of technology that Dell will launch a smart phone that would compete with the iPhones and Blackberries flooding the market. Therefore, Nobody was surprised when Dell announced it would soon be launching the Dell Mini 3. No word yet on when it will be its official launch, but would be initially available in China and Brazil only.

Why is it called Android based

Dell Mini 3 is a smart phone with Android meaning of his mobile operating system based on Linux. There is no word yet on their exact specifications, but the rumors are ripe that this smart phone have a 3.5-inch touch screen, a resolution of 360 by 640, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and Bluetooth capabilities.
