Google Android Microsoft Office

Trends lead me to believe that the computation we do at home will soon reside predominantly "in the cloud. This means that applications who use and rely on days are not in our computer at home, but in an application out on the Internet and accessed by your browser.
Moves "The Cloud
Many people have made the move. Here are some of the other typical things have done and what you can do to change yourself:
- Use Google Docs productivity tools as their base. Tools not only are they very effective and free, but they are online and available wherever you go (docs.google.com). You do not need to buy Microsoft Office or download the free Open Office OpenOffice.org. I think in my PC six years, Google Docs will launch an application (for example, Spreadsheet Documents, Gmail, etc.) in Cloud faster than I can launch a product for Microsoft Office (eg Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) on my PC. Moreover, there is the freedom of not being tied to a PC to sit in somewhere where you can not always get to it. A laptop works very well in this aspect, but what happens when breaks the notebook or he will miss? It's the kind of feel the same as when you lose your wallet or your keys. He does not feel well at all. With the computer at home in the cloud, which is a problem of losing their equipment, but some of you were working on is lost.
- Use Mint.com, Quickenonline.com or other financial tracking programs. First, they are currently free. This is a great advantage. They are not so good, in my opinion, as an installation program such as Quicken, at least not yet. However, if you are doing nothing more than wanting to keep track of your current balance to ensure cash flow is positive (ie, not spending too much) then they look great tools.
- Use Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networking sites. These sites provide a powerful place to manage their social and professional life. This includes contact with family and friends and show your photos, to be networking with colleagues and for the next big opportunity.
- Get news from CNN.com, USAToday.com and more focused on news of interest to more specialized sites. Eg I pour through consumerist.com pcmag.com and practical information that I can use every day.
Access "The Cloud" anywhere
Because I changed a lot of my mainstream computing to the cloud, I think I can access it on almost any PC and my phone. In my cloud on my phone that can surf the Internet, is a phenomenal tool. If the pre Palm or iPhone was working with my service provider wireless, and would like to upgrade to my trusty Motorola A1200.
Use "The Cloud" But Backup Your Critical Data
Do keep backups of your data, especially data that you need to access their web sites.
I use passwords password security that is free from sourceforge.net. Thus, I have all my passwords in one place. Consequently, I also have all the main sites that I access this same place. (This, I discovered, was very useful when I changed my account e-mail lately.) To backup the password file for the daily cloud using IDrive.com. I also do a monthly backup of the password file to a USB drive that I keep stored in a fire safe.
Be secure in "The Cloud"
The most frightening change for business Cloud with the protection of your privacy and security of your information. I admit it still worries me a bit. I really trust Google? Or how about QuickenOnline.com confident with my financial data? We hear about data breaches every day. Some hacker broke into and stole the information Personal thousands of customers. I have been notified more than once that it happened in a company with which I do business. I have free credit monitoring now due to a recent incident in an investment company.
I have also been called by my bank asking about charges made to my credit card. They proved to be fraudulent and the bank removed the charges from my account. What was interesting is that I had just downloaded my most recent bank transactions in Quicken. I have not seen these fraudulent claims. I immediately did another download my bank transactions. There they were, together with the operations reversing the charges. My bank had detected and responded very quickly to these illegal activities.
My trust in security in the cloud is reasonable based in my business over the Internet since the early 1990s when the Internet opened to commercial sites. Examples with my bank and my investment company that helped reassure me that they are actively trying to minimize the risk of loss. There is no guarantee of safety. However, it is obvious that the risk of loss is greater in any of the cloud in any other place.
"The Cloud" Is Here And Advertising will pay for it
I believe that what we know as personal computing is moving into the cloud. In the near future we will have much less dependence on a single piece of equipment loaded with lots of expensive software, much more than you will ever use.
Of course, as the means of transmission for decades, this cloud is driven by advertising. Just as we once watched TV for free, before cable, and still listen to the radio for free, it seems that we are going for personal computing Cloud paid advertising. The personal computer will be required to access the cloud, but its software applications and information be in the cloud and not on your personal computer.
