Which programming language to start learning?

Hi, I have absolutely no background knowledge. Basically I want to be able to create and write my own programs for my Google Android Phone G1. What is the best place to start. I have in mind the plan of self teach me.

Python is a well known encoding language beginners. I personally started with C + +, but I really do not understand much of what at first sight. Another major source language would be Java. Its quite easy and commonly used in schools to teach students to program. There are so many built in features and makes things easy. It is also an easy transition from Java to C #. C # could also be good. He uses o. NET Framework which I think is the future of coding. It makes everything much simpler. In the end, all your personal preferance. The same thing can be done in all languages, some are just harder to do specific things others.
