When Apple launched the iPhone in 2007, they undoubtedly revolutionized the Smartphone, and raised the bar for other companies to follow in their footsteps. Many have tried, but neither been able to develop "the next iPhone" – this may change on January 5, 2010. This is the day Google plans to release the Nexus One, also known as "Google Phone", a movement that is holding the audience with anticipation and enthusiasm, and wireless providers doing a little uneasy.
The Nexus One is being hailed as an "iPhone killer", like any other smartphone that came before it. "Although it will be difficult in the short term any competitor of Apple, to match the 7.4 million sales of iPhones sold last quarter, analysts say that interest in the iPhone coming, and competitors are willing to swallow the new operators, "wrote David Goldman CNN Money. This is good news for Google, while the Nexus One has features and benefits that surpass the iPhone. The Nexus One will be sold on T-Mobile. With rumors of a Verizon, iPhone compatible in 2010 and the widespread unhappiness AT & T customers are now looking for something that is comparable to the iPhone and a wireless provider that can offer similar options, it is clear that AT & T is slowly losing its power.
Google is ready to take on these clients, many that are already established Google's own fans. Since the Internet giant has partnered with other companies to develop and include the smartphone operating system from Google, they have some experience in the area, has given them a foot in the door, and customers will have some familiarity with the system. Still, it is important to note that Google does not have experience in hardware. The their expertise lies in software, which can be problematic with this new phone.
