Google Android Question!?

I have heard about the new Google Android OS that will run on mobile phones. I also heard that it is "Open Source ", which means that anyone can just pick up the SDK and write some software for the operating system that is cool. Because this is" Open Source ", this means that you will be able to download and install the operating system on phones selected or it comes only with selected phones! I know it's a question stupid, but if you can install the operating system on your phone I'll do it, because UIQ is annoyingly slow!

Is Open Source only. You correct. But it is not simple (as possible) as the installation (change) OS on your computer as your desire … It is a work of craftsmanship. They give mobile Andorid (Andorid OS). On top of that you can install the application and middleware huge.
