iphone cnet app
You had to be living in a cave the last ten days to lose the hype of the iPhone, and while it is now replaced by the Batman hype, I thought I'd share In my experience a week or into

There have been plenty of articles written about the new 3G iPhone: Walt Mossberg, Gizmodo, Engadget and CNET, so I will not give a review, but I'm going to tell you because it is a game changer and because it is more computer than phone. Based on that David Pogue wrote about a week passed on applications, let's go a little further and talk about the use.

First, if you take a look at some of the reviews listed above, you will notice that the use of the phone comes last. Why? Well, as I said, this is more computer than phone. It's about what you can do with it, and oh, by the way, you can make calls too. As I look at my use during the week, the data is weighted approximately 80% / computer and cell phone 20%, if anything, I think probably back up your data / computer share a little more time. Let's see.

And the call:

# 1 It crashes
I'll get the negative out of the way first. Of course, I had some BlackBerry restarts and crashes, but I had more in the last week about the iPhone that I had in the last few months on my blackberry curve. So iPhone -1

# 2 app store
It is a unique place to get all the goods for the iPhone and abundance applications, many of which are free, that really expand the use of the phone. And that's the key, the app store is a way to add functionality to your phone. Just as the computer does not do much without the software, hardware and software third-party application has this phone to another level. Application Shop 3

So let's talk about the computer, such as behavior and some of these applications that allow this.

# 3 Where are you
For a second loan of Boost Mobile and Kanye, you really do not have to ask it again. Loopt demonstrated at WWDC runs on other mobile platforms, but on the iPhone it really shines. Add your friends to their networks and Loopt keeps track of where you are via GPS, as well as allowing you to share photos and messages, all without invitation. Location-based services 2

Music # 4
Devices to play music anywhere that has (many thanks to the iPod) become almost ubiquitous, but the iPhone and its applications to better manage them all. First, Pandora – yes, that your IT department. may be trying to lock in your network – works on the iPhone. Once I installed the application on my phone, using my log-in Pandora even gave me access all my seasons I was hearing on my Mac and have the same thumbs up / down feature for Pandora can continue to learn about the kind of music I like and do not. Oh, and he plays more than 3G, and WiFi, so truly Pandora music in motion.

Shazam, and I do not mean Captain Marvel. Instead, the launch Shazam and hold it up to a radio / TV / speaker and Shazam will listen and identify the song. Now you are a touch away preview and purchase it on iTunes. Music on the iPhone 3

# 5 games
Take full advantage of the accelerometer games like Crash Bandicoot and iPint (by the way is a great example of advergame gone right!) Allows the User to control games by tilting the phone and rolling. Playing feels definitely un-phone-like, more like an experience like the PSP, a great way to kill time when you're not making a call. Game play 2

# 6 Social Network
What computer phone would be complete without social networking tools? And with the new iPhone AIM Chat came, as expected, is connected your iChat / AIM account so it uses the same log-in to give access to their buddy lists.

Recently updated (thankfully, as the initial version was light on resources) is the application of Facebook. So, chat and most of my core Facebook features, all in motion, a winner. Staying Connected 3

# 7 e-mail and calendar
Building on the Mac is already well integrated email and calendar in Leopard, the new MobileMe from Apple gives you Over the Air (OTA) synchronization, as the corporate BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Now it is true, MobileMe had some problems in the maelstrom of change. Mac and the new releases of the iPhone and some users have had problems with OTA sync, but my use has been great. And I love my calendar, e-mail and contacts remain updated through my computer, web and iPhone. Sync OTA 1

I'll stop with seven reasons, but the list could go on, mainly due to large applications, taking advantage of the hardware and software that Apple built. It is a watershed in my opinion. Why? Because it is less about the phone and more about the device. Being able to work, play, connect, post, etc. very well wherever you are is very powerful. And while other devices were here first, the iPhone just hit a little more. About the Author:
