Alternative cheaper iPhone with good media playing features and long battery life?
Hey, was looking to spend about U.S. $ 180 on a beautiful Sony Walkman 8GB MP3 player and remembered how my old Nokia 6300 is … then was thinking of getting one of these new 'smartphones',,, I am interested in buying a GSM phone with a screen of at least about 2.4, which is basically a normal phone (not necessarily 3G) for the text, Internet occasional email (no applications or games), but I want large capacity of 8GB, a wide range of formats audio / video media and more importantly lonnnng-playing battery life (ie 30 + hours). I do not need fancy corporate resources, applications, games or even a touch screen. Just a regular phone with the media capabilities of an iPod classic:) Nokia N95 or 5800 come to mind. HTC has some models also. What do people think? I'm in Australia and spend my maximum probably About AU $ 500 Cheers:) Brett.
