Iphone Utility Application

iPhone / XCODE help in the development!?

I'm just trying to get … iphone in each tutorial, the first thing you do is click File -> New Project and choose "Cocoa Touch" with iPhone Application-> Application selected in the left pane. I do not have "Coca Touch Application "as an option .. what gives? I am offered the following six options: Naviation based application / OpenGL ES application / guide Application Bar / Utility Application / Window-based application. I have just downloaded and installed the iPhone SDK from the developer's website and Apple's installed on my Macbook running OSX 10.5.5 Any thoughts?

Welcome to iPhone development. I'm sure they changed the options a while back. It can have said "Cocoa Touch" Application in the beta versions of the SDK, but somewhere along the line they changed where they have a variety of applications Cocoa Touch to choose. I do not know what to say about the tutorials. They may not match the latest SDK. And get used to the documentation that does not match reality.
