Best solution for international calls?

My family and I are traveling Greece, France and Israel soon. We are all customers Att We have an iPhone, a BlackBerry and two Nokia phones. I really do not understand the concept of GSM that much, but I need to find the most economical and reasonable for us to use cell phones in the seas.

The BlackBerry and iPhone should work without any problem. Maybe you'll have to change the frequency at which the mobile Nokia. I can not give you any guarantees for those. GSM is a series of standards to define everything from SIM cards, radio technology, cellular networks internal roaming mobility etc. Along with the UMTS is 3G upgrade, is the only technology of mobile phones in use in Europe (and Israel)
