Why buy the same movie twice? Convert your DVD with two FREE programs.

1. Download and install DVD Decrypter and Super Video Converter

• Both are free software programs. DVD Decrypter is a program to decrypt the original and still one of the best. Super is a free audio / video conversion program that can convert almost anything into almost anything.

2. Insert the DVD you want to convert and Open DVD Decrypter.

• DVD Decrypter will automatically recognize the DVD and a simple click of a button will copy the files to your hard disk drive.

3. In DVD Decrypter go to "Edit> Select Main Movie Files"

• DVD is divided into several different files (see above), but the film itself is in VOB few, are really MPEG. As you can see in Example 2, this film was divided into 4 sequential files VOB (VTS_03_1.VOB through VTS_O3_4.vob). Do not use the IFO.

4. Make a note of the names of files and where they are being saved.

• On Windows machines, the default location is C: \ drive (or the drive that your OS) and creates a directory or folder with the name of the movie. (See example # 2)

5. Click the button on the DVD hard drive to save the movie.

6. Open the folder where the movies were saved, then open the VIDEO_TS directory or folder

• It is useful here to change your folder view, either the "List" or "Details" to more easily identify the files you need.

7. Open Super and select the radio button below the upper left. Select "Join Format-identical files" on the small arrow next to the window.

• In the top left of the program (see example # 3), there are two buttons aligned vertically. The top button is to select the output of container for the film and the lower button is to select a process exit. Clicking the small arrow just to the right of the window will activate a drop-down menu where you can select your process.

8. Control + click or Shift-click the files you need and drag them to the list of Job "window" in the Super.

• Hold the Control key while clicking the files or highlight to select more than one, or if they're all together, hold down the shift key and click the files above and below to select multiple files. Once selected, click and hold the select and drag them to the Job List "window." (by clicking and releasing any part of the window that has selections will clear the files, and you have to do it more)

9. Click the "Join (Active Files)" button just below the Task List window.

• The files must be named sequentially? The file names need to be identical, except for the last digit or letter in order for the Super recognize the correct order. The example is 1-4, but the files can be different and you may need to rename some file names for the association process to be successful.

10. After the process is complete, remove source files from the list of work and replace them with the newly created "Join", file-ed.

• Joining does not re-encode, merely concatenates the movie files separately in a continuous movie file, which is probably how you prefer to see it. By default, this version of Super new file copies in the same directory or folder as source files.
• Right-click anywhere on Super will bring the context menu where you can remove the files from the worklist.
• Open the VIDEO_TS directory or folder, click and drag the new file to the Task List window.

11. In Super, click the top button, click the arrow to the right of the window and select "iPod / iPhone (MP4),

• Super offers several default values to encode your video? choosing Apple iPod / iPhone will automatically format your movie to your iPod

12. Click the Encode (Active Files) "button and within minutes (may be several), depending on the computer's RAM and individual CPU speed, the movie will be saved.

• The time it takes to encode the movie can take up the same length of the film itself.
• 2-4 GB of RAM.
• The movie ended, formatted for your iPod probably will be saved in the same directory or folder as source files.

After his film was successfully converted, simply add the new video for the iTunes video library and upgrade. You may want to rename the MP4 file before adding to iTunes, but it is up to you.
