Iphone Issues After 3.0 Update

Is it likely that Apple will “debug” the iPhone OS 3.0 software update?
I want to upgrade my iPod touch (2nd generation) to the iPhone OS 3.0, but what holds me back is that after some users did the updating, their iPods were either bricked or their Wi-Fi stopped working.
Several discussions about these were made on Apple’s support website, and some sites posted them as news. If Apple were to look at these sites concerning the Wi-Fi/bricking issue, would they examine the problem and attempt to debug the software?
i hope to think they will because my ipod got bricked from the 3.0 OS. if they dont fix it most people are going to stay with 2.x so for you i recommend staying with 2.x as to avoid complications like me.
i dont know about the turning off of the wifi.
just dont recommend updating ipod touch 2g yet for you
