Will an unlocked iPhone work with T-Mobile?
So here's the deal I can not AT & T service that they want a huge deposit because I think my student loans are still not paid off anyway. I am leaving Sprint and I want to go to T-Mobile can unlock / jailbreak an iPhone to be fully functional with T-Mobile. I want to be able to run applications such as Shazam urban spoon, etc. .. Thus it can be done, I do not care if it voids my warranty with Apple I just want to know if it's possible before I lose my money and get stuck in a contract with T-Mobile
You can use the iPhone with T-Mobile. You will need: 1. Buy an iPhone from Ebay and Craigslist (if you buy from AT & T or Apple Store, you will need to have a contract with AT & T). I suggest buying the iPhone 2G, it is easy and free to unlock. The main difference between the iPhone 2G and 3G is the 3G network. But you can not use AT & T 3G network with T-Mobile anyways. 2. If you get the 2G iPhone, you can unlock it using this guide: Windows: http://ipodtouched.net/index.php?page_id=604 Mac: http://ipodtouched.net/index.php?page_id=682 3. If you get the iPhone 3G, you'll need a SIM chip to unlock it. They are relatively inexpensive this site: http://www.unlockmafia.com/store/ Please do NOT BELIEVE that someone says release can not be done, or you can not get the Internet if you use the T-Mobile with the iPhone. I personally have many unlocked iPhones, and had no problems. You can use data plan with T-Mobile iPhone. You can also use all that comes with the iPhone. Is the iPhone even if nobody else has, but T-Mobile Unlock. Happy!
